The Green Place is now closed to the public until spring, although there will be work going on during this period to prepare for the 2025 season and to make it even better than last year!

Thanks to all who visited, volunteered and supported our events. It all helps to keep us going especially in these difficult times but there is good news.

As a result of this years ticket sales and money raised from selling preloved books and donations, we are delighted to announce that we have been able to pay for another 1000 trees to be planted at Cossington Meadows nature reserve, in collaboration with Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust. These will help to create more valuable habitat for wildlife as well as soaking up some of the rainfall we get all too regularly.

There have also been donations this year to Four Paws, Macmillan, Hedgehog Rescue, the Equadorian Rainforest, Bonobo Monkey Reserve amongst others.

We are now planning exciting events for 2025 (more in theĀ January newsletter) and look forward to your continued support in the year ahead. Our first event will be on the weekend of the 5th and 6th April. Put the dates in the diary!

Also, if you think you can help us in any way, please get in touch. We can always use help with, gardening and diy projects and social media. We will be having regular Thursday volunteer days from 9th Jan so drop us a line if you would like to join our team or find out more.

Until then, enjoy the festivities and we will see you next year.

Darren and Deborah.
