Fri 10th Vinyl Music Night and Film Double Bill.
6pm -10.30 – We’re celebrating the music of the 60’s and 60 years since pirate radio with two cracking movies back to back.
We start at 6.45 indoors with a classic rock and roll film featuring ‘The Fab Four’ filled with all their hits and a delightfully madcap storyline.
At 8.45pm we move outdoors for a more modern film celebrating the golden age of pop music on the radio loosely based on Radio Caroline.
Offshore pirate radio lasted a mere 3½ years buts it's hard not to overstate the effect the stations had on the pop music explosion of the 60’s. Radio Caroline started the ball rolling Easter 1964 and along with Radio London became the most important station of the era.
We’ll be making an evening of it by bringing out the decks, dusting down the vinyl and filling the airwaves with a selection of great tunes in the garden before the films start. So get in early, pick a place to sit and get in the mood for a fab night out!
Tickets: £6 for just the main film or £8 to see them both. (limited to 30 tickets for each film).
